The world Moved On
As part of the narrative of Stephen King's book series The Dark Tower, there were remnants of once-thriving industries that had fallen into decay. When questioned by his companions about the relics of these Industries, the Gunslinger, the hero of the books, simply replies that they existed before "the world moved on."
It is evident on the semi-desolate expanse of Dungeness Beach, which is littered with relics of boats slipways and winches and is undergoing decommissioning of the Nuclear Power Stations, that the "world is moving on".
In this project, I am attempting to illustrate "the world moving on" process, both in terms of the fishing industry's legacy and the actual decommissioning of nuclear power stations which is in progress today.
